Ixchel Villarreal

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. My birthday is November 20, 2003, (I'm a Scorpio) . I graduated in Spring 2026 from the University of the Incarnate Word with a bachelor's in communication arts with a focus in Journalism.

MEDIA EXPERIENCE- During my time at UIW, I got the opportunity to write for our student-ran media groups. The LOGOs student newspaper, KUIW student radio station, and UIWTv the student newscast. In my fall semester of senior year in 2025, I was an intern for SA Live, the morning and lifestyle show at KSAT12. During this time, I got to interview former WWE wrestler Braun Strowman, plan and star in my own segment for the show at a local rooftop bar. I gained experience in writing articles, shooting video, going live on air, and filming and editing segments.

FILM EXPERIENCE- I also have a history in film and indie film in the San Antonio area. I have multiple screenplays that are original works. I have written, directed, and produced two original short films. I have also acted in various short films. My latest role was a lead role in a feature indie film called Texas Tales of Terror that is currently in post-production. In 2024 my trio won 2nd place at TIPA (Texas Intercollegiate Press Association) with our PSA on distracted driving which we created from scratch and acted in.

FUN FACTS- I love to talk about entertainment, and I stay up to date in all things film and TV shows, it's my passion. I love Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and will always be a true Directioner. When I have free time, I love to spend time with family and friends, go shopping, read, and cuddle with my chihuahuas that I love so dearly. I love Charlie Brown, SpongeBob, and the Harry Potter books and movies (I'm a Slytherin) . Lastly, my all-time favorite movies are Fantastic Mr. Fox, Rango, all three Trolls movies, Stand By Me, and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
