Viviana Solis

In 1998, Viviana Solis, graduated Odessa High School. Upon graduation, she continued her education at Odessa College in Mass Communication. Viviana has always enjoyed being involved in her community, contributing her talents of dancing, singing, modeling, coordinating, and conducting events. In 1995, she obtained the title of Miss Hispanic Heritage.

At an early age, Viviana had an interest in journalism and the media. She began her internship at KOZA Hispanic radio, gaining a permanent position as an announcer on the weekends. In 2005, with her passion of broadening her experience of on-air talent, she was casted in commercials with various agencies.

In 2007, she began her career as a reporter and presented weather on the local news at KUPB. Now, being in the meteorology and weather industry for over 10 years, it gives her much comfort in help keeping her viewers stay safe with her weather reports that she currently presents on Telemundo. Being the only Spanish local female weather anchor, Viviana embraces her professionalism as an example of empowering women

Viviana involvement in her community, is helping children with cancer, elderly, and those in need. Since 2007 Viviana was the founder and director of "Chiquita’s by Viviana". Her combined talents help teach girls from ages 3 thru 10 years old dance, model, and prepare them for beauty contest. Above all her focus is promoting girls to be more confident, positive, and believing in themselves. Viviana’s biggest inspiration is her mom Mrs. Sylvia Solis, who has been a leading example all her life. Presently, serving her title as Ms. West Texas 2020, Viviana has opened more opportunities to assist the community, especially during this pandemic.
